Ready, set, go!

Yesterday I had a VERY productive meeting with my principal and a teacher new to our tech team.  We outlined a plan for sustained professional development for technology integration for our staff.  Our first task is to create a learning community for our teachers, using Edmodo.  Since I'm the only one who teaches 7th grade World History, all 8th graders know how to use Edmodo.  The only ones who might not are those new to our school.  But the 8th grade teachers are going to have a smooth transition...all they have to do is jump in.  ;-)

The next tool is new to me, but I love it!  HaikuDeck.  I'm excited to show teachers how to integrate this presentation tool into their curriculum.  I'm looking at using Reflector to mirror the iPad.  Just waiting for my principal to see if there are funds available.

My principal is ready to see the iPads in action...but we have to take baby steps.  Of course, I'm excited because I am getting ready to roll out iPad minis to my own students within the month.  =D  This is a VERY exciting time for those of us who are tech geeks.  For those who aren't?  Well, I guess they'll be swept up in the movement.
